William D. Bauer
Most recently, Bill was Director of Intellectual Property and Assistant Secretary at Imation Corp., an international corporation in the removable data storage and color graphics arts industries, where Bill managed the company's entire intellectual property portfolio. Prior to joining Imation in a spin-off in 1996, Bill practiced intellectual property law for the multi-national 3M Company for 17 years. Bill also practiced intellectual property law for Univac (now Unisys) after joining the company as an engineer and designing central processing units for digital computers. Bill has technical experience in computer technology, including communication and data storage technologies, a variety of medical products, imaging, including print imaging, display imaging and color science, business methods, static control products, traffic control products and a variety of areas in the mechanical arts and physics.

William D. Bauer is a founding shareholder in IPLM Group, P.A., an intellectual property
law firm servicing high technology clients desiring good service and a
quality product. Bill has over 26 years of experience practicing intellectual
property law, focused on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications,
both in the U.S. and around the world, intellectual property agreements
and providing strategic intellectual property planning and management
for major international corporations. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and a J.D.
degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He is a registered patent
attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and is admitted to
practice law in the State of Minnesota.
