Michael L. Mau

Michael L. Mau is also a founding shareholder in IPLM Group, P.A., an intellectual property law firm. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the practice of intellectual property law. His practice has centered on patent and trademark protection for both U.S. and foreign countries. In addition, Mike's practice has extensive experience in client counseling agreements and opinion work. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctrate from William Mitchell College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota and has been a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 1980.

Previously, in 1998, Mike was the co-founder of the law firm of Mau & Krull, P.A. Prior to this, he was a Senior Vice-President at Merchant and Gould, where he practiced for 17 years before leaving to form his own firm. In the early 1980's, Mike was in-house patent counsel for ConWed Corporation.

Mike has considerable experience with both domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution. His technical experience in a variety of mechanical fields.
